Right to Information Act 2005

In order that the citizens of the Country shall have access to the information under the control of the Public Authorities, Right to information Act 2005 (Act No. 22/ 2005) has been enacted by the Parliament, which came into force w.e.f. 15.06.2005. Under the Act, on and from 12.10.2005, the general public, subject to the provisions of Right to information Act, can avail the provisions of the Act to have the information in the control of public authority, which includes the right to inspection of work, documents, records etc. The entire Act is available on the website http://www.persmin.nic.in.

In compliance of section 5(1) and 19 (I) of the said Act, Bank has designated General Manager for the Head Office and Regional Managers for the respective Regions as Central Public Information Officers and Chairman as Appellate Authority respectively. Details provided as under.
